Inspiring the Next Generation of Vocalists

Vocal music is a contantly evolving artform. I believe every choir has the potential to sound modern, creative, and connected. Singing in the contemporary a cappella style is one of the best ways to make it happen.

I first fell in love with vocal music in my high school vocal jazz group. I couldn’t have enough, so in my senior year I started an a cappella quartet to perform during the grand march at prom. From there I attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and studied under René Clausen in the Concordia Choir. My degree in classical vocal performance and opera served as a spring board to sing in more ‘contemporary’ styles utilizing healthy tone, breath support, and classically trained fundamentals. During my freshman year at Concordia, I was one of the founding members of Six Appeal Vocal Band. After graduation in 2010, we chased that passion into a career and made our dreams a reality.



As a world-touring vocalist, arranger, audio engineer, and educator, I’ve spent years helping ensembles around the world discover their sound, refine their blend, and bring their performances to life.
